When you put time and effort into a piece, you want to make sure that it is going to look its absolute finest without a smidge of detail going untouched. This piece was originally created on an 18x24 foam board, so it was a pretty large in scale piece. I decided to use an actual bulb as my subject to outline what you see here. I then used an X-ACTO knife to carve out the tracing of the bulb, thought cloud and type then took pliers to cut pennies in half and possibly into quarters for all the outlining. Afterwards, I placed wire within the thought cloud to give it a more third dimensional look. Lastly, using hot glue to place all the pennies within the bulb itself.
